One More Day of Radiation

Ace's neck looks like it's been burned.  He complains that it hurts, burns and itches.  We put lotion on it, but it didn't help.  He's hurting, but is comforted that he has only one more treatment.  He has medicine that he takes several times a day and it helps temporarily.  I don't know what to do to help him.  He lost 5 pounds this past week and the doctor told him to drink Boost because he needs protein to help the healing process.  He ate egg salad and today had noodles with butter only.  He said it slipped down easily so for the next few days, we will have noodles or mac and cheese.
